Shielding and Lubrication

The 6207 bearing ships in three configurations matched to operating environment. Open bearings suit oil-bath, circulating-oil, or oil-mist lubrication at the full 9,500 RPM speed rating — the standard for industrial pump shafts, gearbox intermediate shafts, and machine tool spindles where the lubrication system handles contamination control. ZZ metal shields use non-contact SPCC steel covers pressed into the outer ring, forming a labyrinth gap that blocks workshop debris, belt dust, and fiber contamination without friction penalty; speed remains 9,500 RPM.

2RS rubber seals employ nitrile (NBR) contact lips riding on the inner ring shoulder. The lip seals against water spray, cement dust, agricultural soil, and chemical washdown.
