6007 Deep Groove Ball Bearing 35x62x14mm

At 35mm bore and 62mm OD, the 6007 bearing enters the power band of IEC 132 and 160 frame motors where shaft loads routinely exceed 10 kN. It carries 16.0 kN dynamic load at 11,000 RPM, making it the default deep groove bearing for 7.5 to 15 kW industrial motor shafts before stepping up to the 63-series for heavier duty cycles.

Key Specifications

  • Sealing: Open, ZZ (non-contact metal shields), or 2RS (nitrile rubber contact seals). Three configurations for oil-bath, dust-protected, and washdown environments.
  • Speed and Load: 11,000 RPM (open) with 16.0 kN dynamic and 10.3 kN static load. 2RS rated to 8,500 RPM due to seal lip drag at 62mm OD.
  • Dimensions: 35mm bore x 62mm OD x 14mm width. 13.5mm radial cross-section handles industrial pump and motor loads without excessive housing diameter.
  • Temperature Range: -20C to 120C continuous with standard polyurea grease. 150C peak with high-temperature synthetic grease on OEM request.
  • Precision: ABEC-1 standard. ABEC-3 and P6 (ISO class 6) available for electric motor applications requiring reduced vibration and noise.

Shielding and Lubrication

The 6007 bearing ships in three sealing configurations. Open bearings suit oil-lubricated gearboxes and large pump housings where the circulation system handles contamination control; this configuration achieves the full 11,000 RPM. ZZ metal shields form a non-contact labyrinth at the outer ring, retaining factory grease with no measurable friction penalty. 2RS nitrile rubber seals provide positive lip contact against moisture, cutting fluid mist, and industrial dust, reducing the speed ceiling to 8,500 RPM due to seal friction at the 62mm OD circumference. All sealed variants come pre-greased for life; no field relubrication is required.

At 62mm OD and 14mm width, the 6007 bearing provides enough axial land for a durable seal groove without reducing ball size. This differs from thinner-section 6000-series deep groove ball bearings where seal geometry competes with ball complement for limited cross-section. For electric motors in dusty manufacturing environments, the ZZ configuration is often specified for the drive end while 2RS seals protect the non-drive end exposed to ambient conditions. The seal contact generates approximately 15 to 20 percent more drag torque than the equivalent seal on a 6006 bearing due to the larger OD.

Performance

The 6007 bearing carries 16.0 kN dynamic load and 10.3 kN static load at 11,000 RPM in open configuration. Within the 6000-series, it represents the upper limit of the light-section range. The 6006 bearing (30x55x13mm, 13.2 kN) serves 1 to 7.5 kW motors; the 6007 bearing adds 21 percent more capacity for the 7.5 to 15 kW band. The 6008 bearing (40x68x15mm, 17.8 kN) reaches 22 kW frames. In a 15 kW IEC 160 motor, the 6007 bearing provides approximately 20,000 hours L10 life at rated load, compared to 12,000 hours for a 6006 bearing.

Compared to the 6207 bearing (35x72x17mm, 25.5 kN dynamic), the 6007 bearing saves 10mm OD and 3mm width. A 62mm bearing seat in an aluminum end bell leaves 6 to 8mm wall thickness in a compact housing; a 72mm seat requires either a larger casting or thinner walls that reduce structural stiffness. For applications where the 6007 bearing provides sufficient life, specifying it over the 6207 bearing reduces housing weight and material cost.

OEM and Customization

Yuanhe manufactures the 6007 bearing to customer specifications. Standard OEM customizations include C3 radial internal clearance for electric motor applications where thermal expansion of the rotor shaft reduces the installed clearance under continuous load, and C4 clearance for high-temperature or heavy-interference-fit conditions. High-temperature polyurea or fluorinated grease extends continuous duty to 150C. Stainless steel (440C) rings and balls are available for food processing and marine pump applications; dynamic load rating reduces to approximately 12.8 kN. Cage options include glass-fiber-reinforced PA66 (standard), machined brass for high-temperature or high-vibration service, and pressed steel. Non-standard bore tolerances, snap-ring grooves, and extended inner rings are available against drawing review. Standard lead time is 7 to 15 days. Send a part number or drawing for a quote.

Applications

IEC-frame electric motors (IEC 132 and 160 series, 7.5 to 15 kW), industrial centrifugal and split-case pumps, conveyor drive gearbox output shafts, agricultural irrigation pump motor bearings, HVAC cooling tower fan shaft assemblies, large textile machinery drive rollers, industrial woodworking shaper and moulder spindles, light industrial compressor crank and motor shafts, small hydro turbine guide and thrust bearings, and overhead crane trolley wheel axles where the shaft is 35mm and the housing bore is 62mm.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between 6007 bearing and 6207 bearing? +
Both have a 35mm bore. The 6007 bearing measures 62mm OD x 14mm width while the 6207 bearing measures 72mm OD x 17mm width. The 6007 bearing is narrower and lighter, rated at 16.0 kN dynamic load. The 6207 bearing carries 25.5 kN at the cost of 10mm more OD. Choose the 6007 bearing when the housing bore is fixed at 62mm or when the additional 37 percent load capacity of the 6207 bearing exceeds what the application requires.
Q2: What motor frame sizes use a 6007 bearing? +
The 6007 bearing is standard in IEC 132 and 160 frame motors covering 7.5 to 15 kW at 1,500 RPM (4-pole). In NEMA frames, it corresponds to NEMA 213 through 254T. For 2-pole motors running at 3,000 RPM, the 6007 bearing handles the higher shaft speed with a reduced service factor. Specify C3 clearance for standard electric motor service.
Q3: What is the expected service life of a 6007 bearing in a pump? +
For a centrifugal pump running 1,500 RPM at 60 percent of rated load with clean oil lubrication, the calculated L10 life exceeds 40,000 hours. At full 16.0 kN load with grease lubrication and occasional contamination, expected life is 8,000 to 12,000 hours. Pump bearing life depends primarily on lubrication cleanliness: a 25-micron filtration system extends life by a factor of 2 to 3 compared to unfiltered oil. Contact Yuanhe with your pump operating curve for a bearing life estimate.
Q4: Is the 6007 bearing available with a locating snap ring? +
Yes. The 6007 bearing can be supplied with a snap ring groove and retaining ring on the outer ring (suffix NR). This eliminates the need for a housing shoulder or end cover to locate the bearing axially, simplifying housing machining. The snap ring version uses the same 6007 base dimensions with the groove machined into the outer ring OD. Available for both open and sealed configurations. Specify NR suffix at the RFQ stage.
