6907 Thin-Section Deep Groove Ball Bearing 35x55x10mm

At 35mm bore and 55mm OD, the 6907 bearing saves 7mm of housing diameter versus the 6007 bearing while still delivering 10.8 kN dynamic load. It approaches the capacity of a standard-section 6006 bearing (13.2 kN) in a thinner radial envelope, for motor shafts, pump rotors, and industrial drives where housing diameter is the binding constraint.

Shielding and Lubrication

The 6907 bearing ships in three sealing configurations, each matched to a distinct operating environment. Open bearings reach 13,000 RPM without seal drag and are specified for oil-bath or circulating-oil systems where the housing provides contamination control. The 10 mm cross-section provides a deeper grease cavity than the 7 mm-wide 6800-series bearings and the 9 mm-wide 6906 bearing, extending relubrication intervals in horizontal-shaft motor and pump applications.

ZZ metal-shielded 6907 bearings use non-contact steel shields with a 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm gap between the shield and inner ring land. They run to 11,000 RPM and suit electric motor rotor supports, industrial fan shafts, and compact gearbox input bearings where moderate dust protection is sufficient. The non-contact shields add under 2% drag compared to an open 6907 bearing at 7,000 RPM, keeping motor efficiency within 0.5% of an unsealed configuration.

2RS rubber-sealed 6907 bearings use nitrile contact seals on the inner ring land. At 8,000 RPM, the 2RS 6907 bearing handles agricultural machinery PTO shafts, conveyor drive pulleys, and outdoor pump bearings where water, mud, and abrasive dust are routine. The 10 mm width holds approximately 43% more grease volume than the 7 mm-wide 6807-2RS, extending sealed-for-life service intervals. A 6907-2RS bearing with standard polyurea-mineral grease (NLGI 2) operates sealed-for-life at 6,000 RPM and 70 degrees C for 3,500 to 6,000 hours under moderate radial load (less than or equal to 2.0 kN).

Performance

The 6907 bearing delivers 10.8 kN dynamic load capacity (Cr) and 7.70 kN static load capacity (Cor). On the same 35 mm shaft, the 6007 bearing (35x62x14 mm) offers 16.0 kN Cr and 10.3 kN Cor. The 6907 bearing saves 7 mm of housing diameter (55 mm vs 62 mm) and 4 mm of axial width (10 mm vs 14 mm) at the cost of 33% lower dynamic capacity. For designers who would specify a 6006 bearing (30x55x13 mm, 13.2 kN Cr) for load but must use a 35 mm shaft, the 6907 bearing delivers 10.8 kN Cr in nearly the same OD as a 6006 bearing while accepting the larger shaft.

Within the 6900 thin-section series, the 6907 bearing bridges the transition from the 6906 bearing (30x47x9 mm, 7.28 kN Cr) to the 6908 bearing (40x62x12 mm, 13.8 kN Cr). Moving from a 6906 bearing to a 6907 bearing gains 48% more dynamic capacity at the cost of a 5 mm larger shaft and an 8 mm larger housing bore. For applications currently running a 6906 bearing at over 80% of its dynamic rating, switching to a 6907 bearing extends calculated L10 life by approximately 3.4x at identical load and speed.

Radial internal clearance is CN as standard. C3 clearance is stocked for motor and pump applications where thermal expansion of the inner ring reduces running clearance. The 10 mm cross-section provides meaningful stiffness: at 7.0 kN radial load, the 6907 bearing deflects approximately 25% less than a 6807 bearing under the same load, which matters in precision spindle and robotic joint applications where bearing stiffness directly affects positioning repeatability.

OEM and Customization

Yuanhe supplies the 6907 bearing with full customization for volume OEM orders. Non-standard radial clearances (C2, C3, C4) are stocked or produced to order. Lubrication options include low-torque synthetic grease for instrument applications, food-grade grease (NSF H1 registered) for processing equipment, and high-temperature polyurea grease rated to 150 degrees C continuous. Stainless steel 440C rings and balls are available for corrosive or washdown environments: note that 440C derates dynamic load capacity by approximately 15% compared to GCr15. Cage options include stamped steel (standard, to 13,000 RPM), glass-reinforced polyamide (reduced weight, lower noise, to 8,000 RPM), or machined brass (high-speed stability above 11,000 RPM). Standard MOQ is 100 pieces per configuration. Sample orders of 10 to 50 pieces ship within 7 days. Every order includes a dimensional inspection report covering bore, OD, width, radial runout, and radial clearance. ISO 9001:2015 certified. Submit your drawing or specification for a same-day quote.

Applications

Electric motor rotor supports 5 kW to 15 kW, industrial pump shaft and impeller bearings, compact gearbox input and output shafts, agricultural PTO shaft and implement bearings, conveyor head and tail pulley bearings, HVAC air handler blower shafts, centrifugal fan and blower motor shafts, textile machinery main roller bearings, fitness equipment crank and pulley assemblies, small compressor crankshaft bearings, robotic joint and actuator drive bearings. Any 35 mm shaft application with radial loads between 7.0 kN and 10.8 kN where a 6007 bearing OD of 62 mm exceeds the housing envelope.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 6907 bearing compare to a 6006 bearing in terms of load capacity and envelope? +
The 6907 bearing (35x55x10 mm, 10.8 kN Cr) and the 6006 bearing (30x55x13 mm, 13.2 kN Cr) share nearly the same OD (55 mm) but differ in bore diameter. The 6907 bearing accepts a 35 mm shaft versus the 6006 bearing 30 mm shaft. Dynamic capacity of the 6907 bearing is 10.8 kN: 18% less than the 6006 bearing but 82% more than it would deliver if restricted to a 30 mm bore. Use the 6907 bearing when the shaft must be 35 mm for structural stiffness and the housing bore cannot exceed 58 mm.
What is the expected L10 life of a 6907 bearing in a pump application with 6 kN radial and 1 kN axial load? +
At 6 kN radial and 1 kN axial load (combined equivalent dynamic load approximately 6.6 kN), a 6907 bearing with CN clearance achieves approximately 12,000 hours L10 at 3,600 RPM. This assumes clean oil-bath lubrication and a steel housing with proper interference fit. The 10 mm cross-section provides sufficient shoulder support for the 1 kN axial component. At 1.5 kN axial with the same 6 kN radial, the equivalent load rises to approximately 7.2 kN and L10 drops to approximately 9,000 hours.
At what shaft speed should I switch from a 2RS sealed 6907 bearing to an open configuration with oil-mist lubrication? +
Switch at 8,000 RPM. Above this speed, the nitrile contact seal lip on a 6907-2RS bearing begins to lift from the inner ring land due to centrifugal evacuation of the grease from the contact zone. The seal lip temperature rises approximately 15 degrees C to 20 degrees C above the bearing bulk temperature at 8,500 RPM, accelerating nitrile aging. At 9,000 RPM, grease service life drops to under 1,000 hours even at 60 degrees C bulk temperature. For continuous operation above 8,000 RPM, specify the open 6907 bearing with oil-mist lubrication.
How does the 10 mm width of the 6907 bearing compare to the 7 mm 6800-series in terms of stiffness? +
The 10 mm width of the 6907 bearing provides approximately 43% greater radial stiffness than a 7 mm-wide 6807 bearing at the same bore and OD. At 7.0 kN radial load, the wider ball-to-raceway contact ellipse distributes stress more evenly across the raceway, reducing peak contact pressure by approximately 25%. Misalignment tolerance also improves: the 6907 bearing accepts up to 4 minutes of arc misalignment without edge loading the raceway, compared to approximately 2.5 minutes for a 7 mm-wide 6807 bearing.
