6000 Deep Groove Ball Bearing 10x26x8mm

The 6000 bearing is the standard 10mm-bore deep groove ball bearing in the ISO 600 series: 26mm OD, 8mm width, 4.55 kN dynamic load at 30,000 RPM. Weighing 19 grams with a radial cross-section of 8mm, it provides the highest load capacity in the extra-light 60xx family while fitting into spaces where a 6200 bearing (10x30x9mm) is too large. Open, ZZ, and 2RS configurations cover clean high-speed, dust-protected, and washdown environments.

Key Specifications

Sealing: Open, ZZ (metal shields), or 2RS (rubber seals). ZZ reaches 30,000 RPM with non-contact labyrinth protection. 2RS rated to 22,000 RPM with positive contact sealing against moisture and fine dust.

Speed and Load: 36,000 RPM (open) with 4.55 kN dynamic and 1.96 kN static load. ZZ configuration rated to 30,000 RPM with grease. 2RS configuration rated to 22,000 RPM due to seal friction.

Radial Fit: 10mm bore, 26mm OD, 8mm width. 8mm radial cross-section; the largest bore in the extra-light 60xx series. Weighs 19 grams. 7 balls of 4.762mm diameter, pressed steel two-piece riveted cage.

Temperature Range: -20C to 120C with standard polyurea grease. 150C peak available with high-temperature fluorinated lubricant.

Precision: Standard ABEC-1. ABEC-3 available for tighter bore tolerance (+0/-0.008mm) and reduced radial runout.

Shielding and Lubrication

The 6000 bearing ships in three sealing configurations. Open (no suffix) suits oil-bath and oil-mist lubricated housings where speed is the priority; it reaches 36,000 RPM with oil and 30,000 RPM with grease. ZZ bearing uses double SPCC steel shields pressed into the outer ring. These non-contact labyrinths block coarse debris with zero seal drag, matching the open variant grease speed at 30,000 RPM. 2RS bearing uses NBR rubber contact seals riding on the inner ring shoulder for positive protection against moisture, fine dust, and light liquid splash at 22,000 RPM.

At 8mm width and 26mm OD, the 6000 bearing has a radial cross-section of 8mm. The 2RS bearing seals do not compromise the load path; the full 4.55 kN dynamic rating applies regardless of seal type. Factory fill is lithium soap grease for standard applications. Polyurea, fluorinated high-temperature, and food-grade NSF H1 greases are available for volume orders.

Performance

The 6000 bearing carries 4.55 kN dynamic and 1.96 kN static load at 30,000 RPM in ZZ bearing configuration. Part of the deep groove ball bearing family, the 60xx series spans bore sizes from 3mm to 30mm. GCr15 chrome steel rings hardened to 60-64 HRC through controlled-atmosphere austenitizing at 840C, oil quench, and temper at 160C. The 8mm radial cross-section provides sufficient ring stiffness that the full rated load applies without de-rating for housing compliance.

Compared to the 6200 bearing (10x30x9mm, 5.10 kN dynamic), the 6000 bearing gives up 0.55 kN of capacity but saves 4mm in outside diameter and 1mm in width. For a 10mm shaft assembly where radial space is constrained, the 6000 bearing delivers 89 percent of the 6200 bearing load capacity in a smaller envelope. L10 life at rated load is approximately 5.5 hours; at half load (2.28 kN), L10 exceeds 8,000 hours with clean lubrication and proper mounting.

OEM and Customization

Through custom bearing manufacturing, Yuanhe produces the 6000 bearing to your specifications. Common OEM requests include C2 or C3 internal clearance grades, polyurea low-noise grease for electric motor applications, fluorinated grease for continuous operation above 100C, NSF H1 food-grade grease, black oxide or zinc-nickel surface treatment, FKM seals as an alternative to standard NBR, 440C stainless steel rings and balls for washdown environments, and private labeling with laser marking. Standard lead time is 7 to 15 days. Batch-level dimensional reports and material certifications ship with every order.

Applications

Small electric motors, HVAC fans, and condenser units
Power tools, circular saws, and angle grinders
Bicycle hubs, bottom brackets, and pedal assemblies
Conveyor rollers, pumps, and textile machinery

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 6000 bearing and 6200 bearing? +
Both have a 10mm bore. The 6000 bearing has a 26mm OD, 8mm width, and 4.55 kN dynamic load. The 6200 bearing steps up to 30mm OD, 9mm width, and 5.10 kN dynamic. The 6000 bearing saves 4mm in radial space and weighs 19g versus 32g for the 6200 bearing. Choose the 6000 bearing when enclosure diameter is the limiting factor; choose the 6200 bearing when load capacity takes priority and 30mm OD clearance is available.
Can the 6000 bearing handle radial and axial loads simultaneously? +
Yes. As a deep groove ball bearing, the 6000 bearing handles combined loading with axial capacity at roughly 25 to 30 percent of the radial dynamic rating. For combined loads, calculate the equivalent dynamic load per ISO 281 to determine actual life reduction. The deep groove geometry supports moderate axial thrust in both directions without modification.
What grease options are available for the 6000 2RS bearing? +
Standard fill is polyurea-thickened mineral grease, approximately 100 cSt at 40C, rated -20C to 120C. Custom options include filtered low-noise polyurea for motor applications, fluorinated high-temperature grease for continuous operation to 150C, and food-grade NSF H1 aluminum-complex grease. Grease fill volume is 25 to 30 percent of free internal space for speed-optimized configurations.
What is the expected service life of a 6000 bearing under rated load? +
Basic rating life (L10) at the 4.55 kN dynamic load and 30,000 RPM is approximately 500 hours for 90 percent survival. In actual applications running at reduced load representative of fan and small motor duty, service life extends to tens of thousands of hours. These estimates assume clean lubrication and proper mounting. For application-specific recommendations, contact our engineering team with your load and speed data.
