The 6001 bearing ships in three sealing configurations. Open (no suffix) suits oil-bath and oil-mist lubricated housings where speed is the priority; it reaches 34,000 RPM with oil and 28,000 RPM with grease. ZZ bearing uses double SPCC steel shields pressed into the outer ring. These non-contact labyrinths block coarse debris with zero seal drag, matching the open variant grease speed at 28,000 RPM. 2RS bearing uses NBR rubber contact seals riding on the inner ring shoulder for positive protection against moisture, fine dust, and light liquid splash at 20,000 RPM.

At 8mm width and 28mm OD, the 6001 bearing has a radial cross-section of 8mm. The 2RS bearing seals do not compromise the load path; the full 5.10 kN dynamic rating applies regardless of seal type. Factory fill is lithium soap grease for standard applications. Polyurea, fluorinated high-temperature, and food-grade NSF H1 greases are available for volume orders.
