Cylindrical Roller Bearing

A cylindrical roller bearing is a rolling element bearing that uses cylinders (rollers) to maintain separation between the moving parts of the bearing. The rollers in cylindrical roller bearings are usually arranged in a row, with each roller being perpendicular to the adjacent rollers. It provides high stiffness, low friction, and long service life.

Cylindrical roller bearings are available in many different designs, each suitable for a different application. The most common design is the full complement cylindrical roller bearing, which is designed for high load-carrying capacity and high-speed applications. Other designs include semi-locating bearings designed for high-speed applications and non-locating bearings designed for applications where space is limited.

In addition, cylindrical roller bearings are available in a variety of designs, series, variants, and sizes. Single-row cylindrical rollers are easier to install and remove, but radial loads are average. Double and multi-row cylindrical roller bearings offer greater radial load capacity, and they can also transmit axial loads in one direction.
