Shielding and Lubrication

Three sealing configurations are available for the 626 bearing. The open variant runs without contact seals, reaching 36,000 RPM on grease lubrication. ZZ metal shields use a non-contact labyrinth with a 0.15mm radial gap; the gap blocks coarse debris and retains grease without friction, so speed drops only to 34,000 RPM. 2RS rubber contact seals press a nitrile lip against the inner ring groove. At the 626 bearing’s 19mm OD, the seal lip generates 8-12 N/mm of drag torque per side. This drag caps top speed at 28,000 RPM but blocks particles down to approximately 10 microns and prevents moisture ingress through the seal interface.

Standard lubrication is a lithium soap grease with mineral base oil, ISO VG 32-68, fill ratio 25-35%. For wider temperature windows or chemical resistance, polyurea and fluoroether greases are available as custom options.

Performance

At 2.34 kN dynamic and 1.15 kN static, the 626 bearing leads the 6mm-bore miniature series in load capacity. The 19mm OD provides 4mm more cross-section than the 696 bearing (15mm OD, 1.73 kN) and 6mm more than the 686 bearing (13mm OD, 1.08 kN). Each millimeter of additional outer diameter contributes roughly 0.2 kN of dynamic capacity in this size class. The 6mm width, 1mm wider than the 696 bearing and 686 bearing, provides additional ball-to-raceway contact length for axial load distribution.

ABEC-3 is the standard tolerance grade. Radial runout is held to 5 microns or less on the inner ring. ABEC-5 reduces runout to 3 microns for applications where shaft deviation must stay under 10 microns total. The deep groove ball bearing geometry accepts combined loads: roughly 25-40% of the radial rating is available as axial capacity in the static case, dropping to 10-15% at maximum speed.

OEM and Customization

Yuanhe manufactures the 626 bearing to customer specifications. Common custom requests include: C2 reduced clearance for encoder shafts requiring sub-5-micron axial play; C3 increased clearance for press-fit housings where interference reduces internal gap; 440C stainless steel rings and balls for autoclave cycles in medical and food-processing equipment; polyamide or machined brass cages as alternatives to the standard pressed steel ribbon cage; and low-noise greases (GN classification) rated for 3-5 dB lower running noise in office equipment and small fan motors. Submit a drawing or bearing specification to the OEM team. Standard MOQ for custom configurations is 500 pieces. Sample quantities of 10-50 pieces are available for first-article testing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What applications benefit most from the 626 bearing’s 19mm OD and 2.34 kN load rating? +
The 626 bearing suits applications where a 6mm shaft is fixed but the bearing must carry higher radial loads than the 696 bearing (15mm OD) or 686 bearing (13mm OD) can handle. It fits small electric motors running at 2,000-3,000 RPM under belt tension or gear mesh loads. It also works in compact conveyor idlers where the bearing OD is the only rolling surface and must absorb both product weight and belt tension. For RC models and power tools, the 626 bearing provides load margin to survive shock loads that would brinell a 686 bearing or 696 bearing raceway.
How does the 626 compare to the 696 bearing and 686 bearing in the Yuanhe 6mm-bore series? +
All three share a 6mm bore. The 686 bearing measures 6x13x5mm with 1.08 kN dynamic: the smallest OD option for ultra-tight housings. The 696 bearing at 6x15x5mm carries 1.73 kN dynamic. The 626 bearing at 6x19x6mm carries 2.34 kN dynamic, the highest in the series. The choice is a tradeoff between housing space and load capacity. If 13mm OD is the hard limit, use 686 bearing. If 15mm fits and loads are moderate, use 696 bearing. If the housing has room for 19mm and the application demands maximum load rating, specify 626 bearing.
Can the 626 bearing handle combined radial and axial loads? +
Yes. The deep groove ball bearing geometry accepts axial loads in both directions without additional thrust washers. At low speeds and static conditions, the 626 bearing handles axial loads up to roughly 40% of its radial static rating, about 0.46 kN. At maximum speed, this drops to 10-15% of the dynamic rating due to heat buildup at the ball-to-raceway contact angle. For applications with dominant axial loads, a matched pair or angular-contact bearing should be evaluated instead.
What shaft and housing fits does the 626 bearing require? +
For a rotating shaft with stationary housing (the most common arrangement), the shaft fit is j5 or k5 for the 6mm bore: a light interference fit of 0 to +7 microns. The housing fit for the 19mm OD is H6 or H7: a clearance fit of 0 to +18 microns that allows the outer ring to move during thermal expansion. If the housing rotates and shaft is stationary, reverse the fits: housing gets M6 or N6 interference; shaft gets g5 or h5 clearance. For ABEC-5 precision bearings, tighten shaft fit to j4 or k4 to reduce runout at higher speeds.
